Fo...Zinn was a great thinker but very dry to read. Found that out in my AP US class- we sometimes used "A People's History" as an in-class text.<br /><br />I preferred Paul Johnson. No, not the football coach, the British historian. More fun to read, gave an interesting perspective on American history by a foreigner, and he was a conservative compared to the liberal Zinn.
